Ever get that feeling when your kid’s sleepy smile knocks you for a six? Or the first sip of that warm, inviting velvety coffee for the day tickles your palette and heightens your senses. Only to feel the sudden crash of lament.
And then comes the guilt – of not putting enough gratitude to your already abundant, fulfilling life but instead letting the negativity take over.
That itch we can’t seem to reach and scratch. The empty hole we can’t fill. You can’t even find its source; this ominous feeling is just there.
In this first episode of Finding Grace – I explore these feelings a little closer – not as a means to whinge or complain – to simply claim the emptiness. It’s not about being ungrateful but to find purpose and direction again.
While life can undoubtedly be full of colour and rich in love, family and cherished moments, it’s also fluid and full of changes. It’s time for me to be okay to want more from an already full life. Even more so to take the emotional and creative risks to do something about it.
